Cambridge IGCSE India Studies offers learners the opportunity to understand the emergence of contemporary India and the achievements, challenges and opportunities facing the nation that is destined to be one of the great powers of the 21st century. Political systems and democracy, economic development, contemporary society and culture, and India’s relationship with the wider world, are the core areas of study. By building their own portfolio of research, learners develop skills in enquiry and learn how to plan their work. The syllabus builds on existing good practice in international education and area studies to provide a lively and innovative cross-curricular course.
