Introduction

Cambridge International Diplomas in Management provide a framework for developing the business skills and knowledge needed at front-line and middle management levels.

The Diplomas have been developed specifically for the international market, acknowledging the growing number of employees whose career path takes them across both geographic and cultural boundaries.

In accordance with this fact, Cambridge has ensured that the standards embodied in the Diplomas are globally recognised and highly valued by both educational and commercial institutions world wide. The Diplomas are offered at Professional Level and at Higher Professional Level. Both Levels of the Diploma have a similar assessment structure, based on an assignment for each module.

The Cambridge International Diplomas in Management are not an MBA qualification. However they are equivalent in content to Level 6 and 7 Management Qualifications provided in the UK and as such provide an excellent basis for progress to an MBA. Students achieving the Diplomas at Professional and Higher Professional levels are advised to contact universities in the UK and internationally about the entrance requirements for individual MBA programmes.

Scheme of Assessment

Each module is assessed by a set assignment, which is marked by Cambridge. In addition, there is an Integrated Assignment in the form of a Case Study which covers the Core modules and gives the candidate the chance to show they have a broad understanding of the elements studied. Candidates must also prepare a Management File, showing evidence of their achievements in the workplace and during study.
