CLAiT - International

CIE and OCR are pleased to announce that from 1st May 2008, OCR will be offering CLAiT - International to CIE centres outside of the UK.

The CLAiT qualification has been the leading IT skills qualification in the UK since 1987, and has been achieved by over 2.5 million learners. CLAiT - International will follow an identical syllabus and use the paper based assessments that are used for CLAiT in the UK. It is a package of three qualifications which help learners of all abilities to develop their IT skills.

Learners can choose between single units, a certificate or a diploma and will receive a certificate for whichever option they achieve. For a certificate they must achieve three units and for a diploma they must achieve five units; both options must include the mandatory unit. Learners can progress through the levels within CLAiT - International, developing and enhancing their IT skills as they go.

OCR Centre registration

CLAiT - International will be offered to CIE centres by OCR. CIE and OCR are both part of the Cambridge Assessment Group.

If your centre is not yet a registered CIE centre you will need to apply to become a CIE centre before an application to register as an OCR centre can be considered. If your centre is already a CIE centre you will need also to register as an OCR centre (there is no registration fee to become an OCR centre) in order to run CLAiT - International, please note that OCR can only accept payment for entries to CLAiT - International in UK pounds sterling (£).
