How to Get Your School Involved
The Cambridge International Primary Programme is currently available to all schools that are registered as Cambridge Centres. The Programme is also available to primary schools that have a close working relationship with a registered Cambridge Centre.
What you will receive as a Cambridge International Primary Centre:
- Administration of your Centre’s registration
- The Curriculum Framework containing clearly defined learning objectives for English and Mathematics for students aged approximately 5 – 11, and Science for students aged 8 – 11
- A booklet providing detailed information on how to effectively deliver the Cambridge International Primary Programme
- A set of classroom assessment tasks for English, Mathematics and Science. These books contain activities that are designed for use within the classroom
- One year’s subscription to an online training resource for your Centre
- A certificate of official status as a Cambridge International Primary Centre.
- Full set of Cambridge Progression Tests for Mathematics and English for stages 3 – 8
- Full set of Cambridge Progression Tests for Science for stages 6, 7 and 8.
- Eligibility for the Cambridge Primary Achievement Tests in Mathematics, English and Science
- Moderation of the Cambridge Primary Achievement Tests and a printed Statement of Achievement for each student
- Complete mark schemes for all Progression and Achievement tests, including illustrations of standards and guidance for internal administration and moderation of the tests
- Clear guidelines for using the results of the Progression Tests to inform teaching, measure student progress and aid reporting to parents.
As a Cambridge International Primary Centre, you will also receive access to the CIE’s Primary Programme Teacher Support website, which provides:
- Comprehensive schemes of work that suggest a framework, activities and resources for teaching the Cambridge International Primary Programme
- A software tool to allow you to analyse your results data from the Cambridge Progression Tests to produce diagnostic information about strengths and weaknesses and comparative data about individuals, classes and your school
- Easy access to all the Cambridge International Primary Programme documents
- Access to the Cambridge International Primary Centre network, enabling you to communicate with CIE and other Primary Centres
- News and information about resources, training and events
- Regular news and updates from CIE on primary developments
- Access to Primary Programme marketing support resources.
