Please note that where Cambridge has reviewed a series of books or resources that contain a very large number of items published within a single scheme, teachers should use their own judgement to evaluate the cultural sensitivity of the material according to their own particular requirements.
Endorsed by Cambridge. These are resources that have been written to be closely aligned to the syllabus they support and that have been through a detailed quality assurance process.
Recommended by Cambridge. These are resources that have been through a short quality assurance process in which their content has been reviewed against the part or parts of the syllabus they support and have been found to offer good quality material suitable for use with the Cambridge programme. This means that they form a useful source but cannot be used to deliver the programme on their own.
Suggested by teachers. These are resources that have not been through the Cambridge quality assurance process but have been found suitable for use with various parts of the syllabus by teachers.
Schools which have registered for Cambridge Primary have free and unlimited access to the Cambridge Primary website. The site contains administration and support resources, including schemes of work for each part of Cambridge Primary. News and information on primary events and training are also provided. Cambridge Primary registration includes subscription to an introductory online training course. The course enables an unlimited number of teachers within the school to learn at their own pace over the first year.
A suite of support materials is available on the website to help teachers plan and deliver the course.
Cambridge teacher training events include a range of face-to-face and online subject-specific training courses. Cambridge offers a range of courses enabling teachers to select training which best suits their own learning level and school timetable.
In addition, Cambridge offers Professional Development Qualifications for Cambridge teachers, enabling teaching professionals to develop further their skills by improving the quality of their teaching and learning.
Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language curriculum
For those teachers using the Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language curriculum framework, externally certificated assessments can be provided by our sister organisation Cambridge ESOL. Cambridge ESOL also offers a Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). It aims to increase teachers' confidence and enhance job prospects by focusing on the core teaching knowledge needed by teachers of primary or secondary learners.
