Training for Staff

We provide capability-building courses for senior officers and selected examiners in item writing, standardisation and quality assurance of question papers and mark schemes. We also offer ongoing professional development to meet the needs of particular staff.

Courses are available in all aspects of the examination process including assessment administration, development of assessment instruments (e.g. data capture and management) and delivery of assessment. This ranges from the management of various types of question paper meetings to the issues involved in benchmarking and grading.

Cambridge Assessment Network

Through our Cambridge Assessment Network we also offer an opportunity for assessment professionals to share ideas and experience as well as attending International Study Programmes. Through the Network we offer a certified course in assessment accredited by the University of Cambridge, and seminars and workshops throughout the year on current assessment topics. The Cambridge Assessment Network holds an annual conference which attracts delegates from the UK and around the world, representing schools, colleges, universities and awarding bodies. Training for Teachers
