Quality Assurance

CIE’s quality assurance is invaluable for those who have public accountability for the delivery of high stakes examinations.

CIE offers a range of quality assurance services, depending on the specific requirements of ministries and examination boards. These start at the level of initial curriculum and syllabus evaluation and approval and continue through to end-certification and ongoing validation of standards.

In addition, CIE has developed a self-assessment framework for ministries and examination boards to assess their own performance and training needs.

The service covers a number of core assessment activities including syllabus production, question paper/mark scheme production, grading processes, and conduct and security of examinations.

"The CIE Quality Share brought people together – people who believe in the system and want things to be of a high standard. It also provided us with manageable data that we could make sense of and utilise in our realistic plans of action. Overall, it was a very positive experience."
