How CIE supports Exams Officers
CIE helps schools handle exam entries and results quickly and securely.
CIE takes great care to provide Exams Officers with all the support they need to deliver CIE qualifications. CIE makes the process as simple and as fast as possible. We support Exams Officers with a Customer Service team, clear documentation, exam management software and a secure website for exchanging entries and results.
Customer Services
CIE Customer Services is a team of experienced staff, dedicated to providing centres with quick, clear and accurate responses to their enquiries. Centres can send enquiries by telephone, e-mail, fax or letter. We aim to respond to all enquiries within two working days of receipt.
Clear Documentation
CIE produces clear administrative documentation to guide Exams Officers through the examination process. We update our documentation each year. We make this clear to Exams Officers, so they can check they are using the most up-to-date documents for each examination session.
Managing exam entries: CAMEO
Exams officers with many candidates can manage their exams easily by using CAMEO, a software package CIE provides to exams officers.
CAMEO allows centres to:
- keep a record of candidate information and the CIE examinations they take
- send exam entries to CIE quickly
- make amendments to exam entries easily
- avoid mistakes when making exam entries
- print out a report for each candidate, to help them check their details are correct
- compare forecast grades with actual grades
CAMEO is easy to use. Centres can talk direct with CIE support staff to get the best out of CAMEO.
Secure transfer of entries and results: CIE Direct
CIE Direct is a secure website to help Centres administer CIE examinations.
CIE Direct allows Centres to send examination data files (e.g. files generated using CAMEO) directly and securely to CIE via the internet.
CIE Direct also allows Centres to download information and administrative documents from CIE and stay up to date with news for Exams Officers.
