CIE's first ever Brilliance in Tanzania awards ceremony will take place at the Kilimanjaro Hotel Kempinski in Dar Es Salaam on 26 September. The prestigious ceremony celebrates the success of talented Tanzanian students in the Cambridge IGCSE, International A / AS Level and O Level June 2008 examinations.
British High Commissioner, Mr Philip John Parham, will present 24 awards to students who have been ranked Top in Tanzania for their outstanding exam performance in a single subject. Five awards will be presented to International A Level students, 5 awards to International AS students, and 14 awards to Cambridge IGCSE students. The students will also be congratulated at the ceremony by CIE Representatives Anne Crowson and Patricia Borman.
Guy Lane, CIE Director, says: ‘It is very gratifying that the number of schools offering CIE qualifications in Tanzania has increased to such an extent that we are able to hold an award ceremony here.
