Cambridge Outlook 14 (2516Kb)
15 June 2009
As a department of the University of Cambridge, CIE is proud to be joining in this year's celebrations to mark the University's 800th anniversary.
We have created a new Cambridge 800 area on our website to link Cambridge schools into the University's activities, such as the Darwin Anniversary Festival and the Cambridge Science Festival. You can watch videos of University lectures, and see the spectacular events that launched the 800th anniversary celebrations earlier this year.
We hope that CIE's Cambridge 800 website will stimulate ideas for classroom projects in Cambridge schools around the world. More University of Cambridge affiliates have won Nobel prizes than at any other institution in the world - so there are plenty of inspiring figures to celebrate and study.
CIE and the University share the same fundamental educational values - a commitment to excellence, equality of opportunity for any student with talent and ability, and a drive to 'transform tomorrow'.
We are planning more initiatives over the coming months to mark the 800th anniversary of the University. Keep an eye on our Cambridge 800 website, and watch out for more news soon!
