Key statistics from the June 2012 series

• Cambridge IGCSE is taken in 137 countries.
• It is taught by over 2900 schools worldwide.
• It is taught by more than 900 schools in the UK (500 state and 400 independent).
• Worldwide entries for Cambridge IGCSE in June 2012 up 21% on June 2011.

In the UK - where Cambridge IGCSE take-up has been growing strongly following the government's decision to fund subjects in state schools - entries are up 119% on last year.

Cambridge IGCSE results were released to schools on Monday 13 August. We wish all Cambridge learners well for the next steps in their education.
