The syllabus redesign project was managed at CIE by Nick Mazur, and followed research among teachers, directors of studies and CIE personnel both in the UK and overseas. Nick Mazur explained: 'The editorial team has put the content of each syllabus into a standard order and edited them for clarity, always keeping the reader in mind. We have aimed for a clear and concise tone of voice.
'We have focused on ensuring that the assessment process and instructions to teachers are clearly written. Teachers should be reassured that they don't have to learn a completely new syllabus. However it is important always to check the latest Circular to Centres for revisions to content.'
We hope you like the redesigned 2011 syllabuses. They are available now on the CIE website - follow the links below to take a look!
