Cambridge Chemistry Challenge for UK students

UK teachers have until 1 June 2012 to register their students for the 2012 Cambridge Chemistry Challenge Lower 6th Competition, open to students from Year 12 (or below).
The competition is designed to help Year 12 students think about science in the way they would at university. It is a 90-minute written paper to be taken under exam conditions in UK schools between 13 and 22 June 2012. The paper will consist of two or three questions which will contain parts that should be easily approachable, but also parts that are designed to challenge students a little further.
Candidates who do well will be given a certificate of achievement, and those who do best will be invited to a residential course to take place at the University of Cambridge at the end of August.
After the competition, a full breakdown of the results will be published, and as a teacher, you will have access to all your school’s results from this year, and previous years if you entered.
How to enter
In order to participate, teachers need to register at least one student before Friday 1 June 2012. Just login as a teacher to the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge website and follow the instructions under the 'L6 Entries' tab. Last year's paper is available on the website.
Not in the UK?
You still have time to take part in the online Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.
