The number of schools offering CIE qualifications in Tanzania has grown to such an extent that CIE was able to hold the first ever Brilliance in Tanzania award ceremony on 26 September.
The awards were presented to talented students by the Tanzania British High Commissioner, Philip Parham, who said: 'It is an honour and a pleasure to be here today to celebrate the skill and commitment of young people determined to build a good future for themselves and their communities, as well as celebrate the devotion and success of their teachers.'
The second annual Brilliance in Kenya ceremony took place in Nairobi on 29 September, and celebrated the success of Kenyan students in the June 2008 examination session. The awards were presented to students by the Kenya Acting British High Commissioner, Louise de Sousa. Like Tanzania, international schooling provision is growing in Kenya, as parents seek out a contemporary education for their children.
We congratulate all the students, teachers and schools on their success!
