Teachers at El Shaddai Christian School, a small school in South Africa, were delighted to learn that three of their students achieved Brilliance Awards in the 2007 IGCSE examinations.
Crystal Farmer received the joint Top of the World award for English Literature; Evelien Walzl received top marks in Mathematics in South Africa; and Julian van Zyl was third in the world in Afrikaans Second Language and sixth in the world in Physical Science.
El Shaddai Christian School is a co-educational, independent, Christian school situated in the suburb of Durbanville, in Cape Town.
Karen Anderson, Deputy Head of El Shaddai, said, "We are thrilled at our students' achievements in an international set of examinations, and are thankful that we made the right choice in choosing to follow the Cambridge route when we were deciding on a curriculum for our new senior high school in 2000."
