An online self-study course designed to give teachers an introduction to IGCSE English as a Second Language. It is aimed at teachers who have not yet started to deliver this course or who are new teachers of this syllabus.
This is an online self-study course, so the pace of study is dictated by each participant. There is no tutor, but teachers are encouraged to use the discussion forum to exchange ideas within a community of peers.
The course will cover all aspects of the syllabus and will enable you to:
Course duration:
Participants have access to the course for 3 months from the course start date. Participants are expected to complete all tasks within the course by the end of this period in order to be eligible for a certificate of completion.
Each course will normally involve a total of 15 hours of study, which should ideally be completed within a timeframe of six weeks. There are no deadlines for completing each task. However, each assignment must be completed in order to progress to the next module. The course environment is designed to be flexible in order to accommodate the various demands on teachers' time
