University of Cambridge International Examinations is holding Stage 2 Intermediate Professional Development Courses, for teachers of the Cambridge AS/A Level Spanish (9719) syllabus.
Who are the courses for?
The training is at Cambridge’s Stage 2 level, so intended for teachers with a minimum 1 year experience of teaching the Cambridge curriculum.
However, experience in teaching the NCEA curriculum and a reading knowledge of the Cambridge syllabus is deemed sufficient background for attending these courses.
Content will vary for each syllabus, but typically includes:
· Review of teachers' assessment issues
· Overview of different teaching methods and strategies
· Teaching strategies applied to the syllabus
· Discussions on formative and summative assessment
· Revision strategies for candidates
· ICT and curriculum resources
· Creating schemes of work and lesson plans
· Marking exercises
How to book
Attendance is £140 per delegate (early bird bookings received before 31st January, £120 per delegate). Refreshments and lunch will be provided on both days.
Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
