Teaching and learning
In Namibia, Swaziland, Botswana and Lesotho, we have worked with national examination boards and education ministries to localise Cambridge qualifications so they become fully owned and managed by the national authorities.
Under these accreditation agreements, Namibia offers the Namibia Senior Secondary Certificate (NSSC) Ordinary and Higher qualifications, Swaziland offers the Swaziland General Certificate of Secondary Education (SGCSE), Botswana offers the Botswana GCSE (BGCSE) and Lesotho offers the Lesotho GCSE (LGCSE).
We continue to quality-assure and accredit the national qualification in each country and add the Cambridge International Examinations logo, which includes the University of Cambridge crest, to certificates issued to candidates. This has a number of benefits to our accreditation partners:
We also accredit specific subjects for specific national needs. For example, we accredit the assessment in English language that is taken by all Malaysian students at the end of Form 5 as part of the national SPM examination.
