Vetter
The role of the Vetter is to provide a fresh pair of eyes to check the assessment material before it is printed.
The Vetter is required to:
- Review objectively the final proofs of the assessment material in accordance with the syllabus and any current instructions issued by CIE.
- Work through the question paper independently from the mark scheme and check his/her working against the mark scheme.
- Write a report on the assessment material.
- Perform all these services in accordance with CIE’s instructions and schedules.
It should be noted that individual roles and responsibilities may vary according to the requirements of the specific qualification, and that the Product Manager responsible for a specific syllabus may revise the role specifications accordingly. These role descriptions give a general overview only of the work normally undertaken by examining personnel and are not inclusive.
