Ann Puntis has extensive experience in education and assessment. She obtained a BSc (Econ) with First Class Honours at Cardiff University and proceeded to research at the University of Oxford.

History
University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is part of Cambridge Assessment, Europe’s largest assessment agency. Cambridge Assessment is the new name for the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES) which has developed and promoted qualifications around the world for almost 150 years.
Cambridge Assessment is a department of the world-renowned University of Cambridge and a not-for-profit organisation. CIE is one of Cambridge Assessment’s three examining bodies. Our sister organisations are:
- University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations: provider of the world’s leading range of certificates for learners of English
- Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations (OCR): one of the UK’s leading providers of qualifications
