Candidates for CIE examinations must enter through a registered Cambridge centre, approved by CIE.
Schools and education providers can choose which type of Cambridge Centre is right for them:
Cambridge International Centres (CICs) register directly with CIE. On registration, a Cambridge International Centre can offer Cambridge qualifications and draw from our teacher support, including our popular Teacher Support website. CICs can get help with their queries from CIE Customer Services, who respond within two working days.
More than 1,100 schools and education providers are registered as Cambridge International Centres worldwide.

Schools and education providers in many countries register as Cambridge International Attached Centres. They deal with CIE via a distributor Associate Partner or Partner, such as the British Council. The distributor handles most of the administration with CIE. Attached Centres can offer a wide range of Cambridge qualifications and subscribe to CIE teacher support services.
Talk to CIE about the Centre status that’s right for your school or organisation
Cambridge International Associate Partner status reflects a strategic partnership between CIE and the organisation. An Associate Partner takes on extra responsibilities, such as acting as a distributor and serving other schools. Or an Associate Partner can work with CIE to offer its own qualifications, quality assured by Cambridge.
