Candidates for CIE examinations must enter through a registered Cambridge centre, which has been approved by CIE.
Schools and education providers can choose which type of Cambridge Centre Status is right for them:
Cambridge International Centres (CICs) register directly with CIE. On registration, a Cambridge International Centre can offer Cambridge qualifications and use teacher support, including the highly regarded Teacher Support website. CICs can get help with their queries from CIE Customer Services, who respond within two working days.

Schools and education providers in many countries register as Cambridge International Attached Centres. They deal with CIE via a distributor or Partner, such as the British Council. The distributor handles most of the administration with CIE. Attached Centres can offer a wide range of Cambridge qualifications and subscribe to CIE teacher support services.

Cambridge International Fellowship Centre status was developed in 2002 and, until 2008, was awarded to Centres based on their dedication to excellence in Education. We are no longer accepting new applications for Fellowship Centre status. Visit the link below to view a list of current Cambridge International Fellowship Centres.

A Cambridge International Partner is a major strategic partner with a well-established relationship with CIE. CIE delivers qualifications with Partner organisations, such as the British Council and various Ministries of Education, on a large scale. The Partner typically works as a distributor, and it may serve tens or hundreds of Attached Centres, in close collaboration with Cambridge.
